LuAnne Roth's research and teaching focus on folklore, film/media, and food studies, with an emphasis in the digital humanities. Her research has appeared in Western Folklore and Food, Culture and Society as well as in The Greenwood Encyclopedia of African American Folklore (2005), Of Corpse: Death and Humor in Folklore and Popular Culture (2003), and in Folklore/Cinema: Popular Film as Vernacular Culture (2007).
